Want a fun way to get the kids to burn off some energy? This exercise egg hunt is perfect! It can be done outside or indoors so no worrying about the weather. It’s a great way to get the kids moving while also sharing in a treasured timeless Easter tradition.
I hid 32 eggs all with different exercises, activities, stretches or yoga poses. We love these kid yoga books we have. They’ve been our go-to on cold or rainy days. Easy enough my toddler can do them, but still a good stretch for myself and my older kids. Put whatever exercises you think your children will enjoy. I included my list below, if you need some ideas. Once all of the eggs are found the kids do the exercises found inside their eggs. Then they put the papers with the exercises back inside the eggs when they’re done. Hide the eggs again, and again to see if you get a different combination of exercises each time.
This was a really fun activity and got our bodies up and moving. Just a little tip if you’re doing the hunt and exercises outside be sure to read your exercises one by one and put each back into the egg right away before the paper blows away! Once you’ve completed a nice workout finish your fun filled Easter egg day with an Easter Egg Cookie Cake!
It’s so hard having everyone stuck home especially with a holiday looming but hopefully this fun activity and dessert will put a smile on the kids faces! Another idea would be to make the cookie cake first then take the kids outside to egg hunt and burn off all their sugar energy.
