Frozen Yogurt Blueberries

Frozen Yogurt Blueberries

I had quickly written about these before but never in a formal post. Summer snack fest is upon us Mom’s now that it’s summer break. I like to have some extra healthy options around the house for the kids when they’re bugging for ANOTHER snack. Enter my Frozen Yogurt Blueberries! These are my favorite way to use fruit before it goes bad. Blueberries were buy one, get one free at the grocery store this week. Even with eating and baking with them I found myself with leftovers.

Ingredients:

Fresh blueberries
Yogurt, flavor of your choice

Additional supplies needed:

Wax paper
Baking sheet

Method:

Just roll the berries in your favorite flavor yogurt and place on a baking sheet covered in wax paper, then freeze. That’s it! Once they’re set just move them to a sandwich baggy or tupperware container and keep them in the freezer for easy snacking.

P.S. It’s also a good way to use yogurt that might be nearing its expiration date.

If you have toddlers I recommend letting these sit out a minute or so to soften up slightly before eating. These blueberries also add great texture to yogurt bowls and cereal, if you don’t feel like snacking on them just on their own. These are also a great side to that blueberry baking I mentioned above, the frozen ones will compliment any muffins or bread.
